Reporting standards

The standards radiologists look up every day.

Lung-RADS, BI-RADS, TI-RADS, LI-RADS, O-RADS, PI-RADS, Bosniak, Fleischner and DEXA: what each one is, its categories, and how RadVector applies it in reports and through its API.

Each page defines the standard, summarizes its categories, links the official source and states whether RadVector's criteria pack is validated or still a draft.

v2022

Lung CT Screening Reporting and Data System

Low-dose CT performed for lung cancer screening. Incidental nodules found on other chest CT are managed with Fleischner, not Lung-RADS.

Draft · advisory

BI-RADS

Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System

Mammography, breast ultrasound and breast MRI.

Validated pack

ACR TI-RADS white paper (2017)

TI-RADS

ACR Thyroid Imaging Reporting and Data System

Thyroid nodules on ultrasound.

Draft · advisory

CT/MRI LI-RADS v2018

LI-RADS

Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (CT/MRI)

Liver observations on CT or MRI in patients at risk for hepatocellular carcinoma (cirrhosis, chronic hepatitis B, or prior HCC).

Draft · advisory

Reporting standards questions

Which radiology reporting standards does RadVector apply?

RadVector applies 9 radiology standards with one deterministic engine: Lung-RADS, BI-RADS, TI-RADS, LI-RADS, O-RADS, PI-RADS, Bosniak, Fleischner, DEXA. Validated criteria packs, which may produce output marked usable: BI-RADS, Fleischner, DEXA. Draft packs under validation, which answer as advisory: Lung-RADS, TI-RADS, LI-RADS, O-RADS, PI-RADS, Bosniak.

What is the difference between a validated and a draft criteria pack?

A validated pack has been audited against the published standard and names its validator and validation date on every verdict; only a validated pack with a confident decision may be marked usable for output. A draft pack applies the same rules but answers as advisory and is marked not usable for output until validation is complete.

Is there one API for Lung-RADS, BI-RADS, TI-RADS, LI-RADS, O-RADS, PI-RADS, Bosniak, Fleischner and DEXA?

Yes. RadVector API evaluates findings against every applicable standard in one call to POST /v1/inference/evaluate and returns each verdict with its criteria pack, version, validation status and a trace id. GET /v1/guidelines lists every pack with its edition and status.

RadVector is clinical decision support for qualified professionals, not a diagnostic device; the radiologist makes the final determination.
